Geekvape Creed RTA Review

Geekvape Creed RTA Review

Here’s a look at the latest RTA (Rebuildable Tank Atomizer) from Geekvape; the Creed RTA. It’s being touted as their most versatile tank to date. Probably it’s most standout feature is it’s three internal interchangeable airflow chambers. This allows the user to customize the airflow within the chamber to their preferred design. Here are my honest thoughts on the Geekvape Creed RTA.

Geekvape Creed RTA Features and Specs

  • Size: 30 mm x 50 mm
  • Capacity: 6.5 ml/4.5 ml (with a spare glass tube)
  • Three internal airflow chambers for various airflow options
  • Dual posts deck for easy single/dual coil installation
  • Easy screw-to-open top refill with 6.5 ml large e-juice capacity
  • Adjustable bottom airflow design

Geekvape Creed RTA Packaging

The Geekvape Creed RTA comes packed in a nice black cardboard box. The one I received was marked as ‘sample’. So the final look of the packaging and contents may vary. In the kit, you get the Creed RTA, an alternative 4.5 ml straight glass, and two alternate drip tips. Plus one 810 the other 510, three internal airflow chamber rings, a spare parts bag and a user manual.

In the spares bag, you get a few extra sets of o-rings in different colors, a 510 drip tip adapter, four spare grub screws, some silicone seals and one of Geekvape’s handy-dandy T-shaped multi-tools. The only things they don’t include are any coils or cotton so you’ll have to supply your own to get started using the tank. The tank and all the extras arrived safely so no complaints there.

Geekvape Creed RTA Contents

The Creed RTA is a very well built, good-looking tank. Made of stainless steel, it’s a 30mm diameter rebuildable tank atomizer that stands at about 50mm tall. The base of the tank is actually just 25mm in diameter but the glass bulges out to the full 30mm size.

Starting at the top, it comes equipped with a thick wide bore 810 drip tip that’s nice and comfortable on the lips. It looks to be made of ultem and it sports a metallic band around its base for added appeal. They also include a translucent straight barrel 810 and a regular more standard looking 510 drip tip that looks to be delrin in case you’re not a fan of big 810 tips.

Geekvape Creed RTA

Just below the drip tip is the top fill cap. It’s an easy open cap which only takes a short turn to get it off, but the cap has a pretty low profile. Although it includes little ridges on the top of the cap for grip, there isn’t much to actually grip on to, so occasionally removing the cap can be a bit of a struggle if it’s on tight.

Under the top fill cap are two large kidney-shaped holes which make filling a breeze and so far it’s been a relatively mess-free experience. The tank itself holds 6.5 ml of liquid or you can switch to the non-bubble tank which still holds a very respectable 4.5 ml of liquid. It can be broken down into four pieces, not including the drip tip or airflow chambers for easy cleaning or for swapping the glass.

Geekvape Creed RTAOn the lower end of the tank is the adjustable bottom airflow. Three holes around the base provide ample airflow which can be adjusted via the airflow control ring or AFC for short. I personally found it to be way too airy for my liking and have been running it closed about three-quarters of the way which still gives me a nice ever so slightly restricted direct lung hit.

The AFC is pretty stiff so it shouldn’t move around by accident. On the very bottom, it’s got a non-adjustable gold plated 510 centered pin. This does protrude a bit and should probably be safe to use with hybrid connections. However, users should always exercise caution when using a hybrid connection. A bit of branding and the usual CE marking are all that’s left on the bottom.

The Deck

The deck on this thing is a pretty standard affair being two posts with bottom airflow however what makes this tank unique is the inclusion of three different internal airflow chambers. They basically allow you to change the airflow system within the chamber not just from the outside using the AFC ring.

Geekvape Creed RTA ReviewOne of them is a solid ring which allows only the bottom airflow to be used. This one was actually my preference for a couple of reasons. One is the more saturated vapour and flavour I got from it. The other being it’s the only ring that will actually stay attached to the deck when turning it upside down.

Sounds trivial but when you want to rebuild the tank and try out one of the other chambers you’ll need to empty the tank. Because you can’t flip the deck upside down without the other chamber rings falling off and you can’t just drop them into the upper tank piece.

More On The Deck

The other two rings are fairly similar. Allowing both bottom airflow and side airflow to the coils. With one being perforated with little holes and the other having vertical slots for the air to pass through to the sides. I did test out the perforated chamber but found it only made for an airier experience. For me, at least, it felt like the flavor suffered a bit as well.

Frustration with the chamber rings not staying in place meant I couldn’t be bothered to test out the last one. So I switched back to the first solid bottom airflow the only ring and have been quite content with that ever since.

Build, Wick and Performance

Building on this thing is pretty straightforward. Run your leads through the two post holes, tighten down the chunky flat-head grubs, make some adjustments to your coils and trim off the excess leads. Because the post holes are parallel and not offset you’ll need to pre-bend your leads or make further adjustments once installed. On their site, they show it being used in single coil mode but without any included single coil adapter this thing will be dual coil only.

Geekvape Creed RTA ReviewWicking is also fairly easy and the wick channels which are located around the sides of the deck very much like the Griffin 25 Plus will feel familiar to anyone who’s used one in the past. It can take a bit of getting used to as the wick channels tend to need quite a bit of cotton. This is to avoid leaking. But once you figure it out it’s pretty much automatic. Because it’s a fairly large tank you’d expect it could fit some pretty big coils. But because of those internal airflow chambers, the size of your coils will be a bit limited.

The performance will obviously vary greatly depending on how it’s built. But I tested it out with dual fused claptons (40/2×26 g ni80 on 3mm 0.2 ohms). I got some incredible flavor and vapor from it using just the solid bottom airflow chamber piece.

Moonshot RTA by Sigelei – A Review

What is it that would make an RTA great?  In my opinion it would mimic the taste and vapor of a dripper, but would have the convenience of not needing to constantly drip. Having lived in Mainemy entire life, in the woods, ‘practical’ is what makes sense to me, flashy is nice and all, but I will be quick to debunk something that is driving sales strictly off the appeal of its product and not the actual functionality of it. There have been countless efforts from every company and their mother to create an RTA that produces a great vape experience.

The issue with most RTA’s always lies somewhere in the design or some neglected variables in the engineering. Sigelei claims this tank is built to compete, supposedly being able to handle up to 200 watts. In my experience with RTAs, I would say they always produce well in one category, but not so well in the other. Great vapor with lack of flavor, or leaky with great flavor etc…  In this review I will touch on the all of the positives and negatives I found while using the Moonshot as my all day tank, for the last 6 days.

Introduction of Moonshot RTA

Sigelei has produced some tanks in the past, most of which seemed to be clones, and really did not bring anything different to the table, similar to your everyday sub ohm tanks already in abundance throughout the market.  Mods were definitely more brag worthy from Sigelei, though the touch screen 150 left me wanting a bit more from the overall experience, but that’s for another day.

Hearing about Sigelei teaming up with Suprimo Vape to bring not only American style and edgeto the tanks design, but something that could compete with other high wattage RDAs, definitely caught my attention. Suprimo Vape, is a company based out of San Jose California, having not heard much about them I took to the internet to see what one of their more notable products were, and found it is their Spade (70w Mod), Information can be found online.  But enough on this, let’s get down to the nitty gritty.

Sigelei Moonshot RTA Review by Spinfuel eMagazine’s Nick Currie

First thoughts and Unveiling the Beast!

The case artwork on the Moonshot RTA is amazing,  A thin gauge metal that is easy to scratch and dent, but the overall design is something to be proud of.  Suprimo, in my opinion, knocked it out of the park with this collaboration.  At first glance the receiver of this package is already impressed before ever seeing the contents inside.

This is all displayed on the back side of the lid, followed by a small pamphlet regarding their security codes etc.  The overall choice of font and design I truly am a fan of, they really put Suprimo on the map for me with this collaboration.  Continuing on;

Sigelei Moonshot RTA Review by Spinfuel eMagazine’s Nick Currie

Broken into 3 slots, you have a bag, 2 Allen wrenches / 2 spare Allen bolts, spare glass, (Bag of spare O rings 1x each O ring) inside the spare glass.  So, far aside from the artwork, it seems like the normal unveiling of a tank and all of its glory.   The tank itself came without pre-installed coils, which I personally would have liked to see, but so far that’s my only complaint.

Originally priced at $59.95USD down to the usual $29.95-$39.95USD depending on where you look, (not having used it yet) I at least wouldn’t feel as if I wasted my money up to this point.  I have purchased tanks in the past, to which I was amazed at how little thought the company had put into the presentation / packaging of said product.  Sigelei and Suprimo however, I cannot say the same thus far.

Moonshot RTA – The Tank Itself

The Moonshot RTA design reminds me of a Cleito tank mixed with a Griffin, it screams clouds. The quad 3mm wick holes, catch the eye immediately.  Using a 13mm by 1mm air hole Sigelei claims will provide perfect air control, but I thought honestly looked a bit tight. (to my liking the air control was not able to freely spin, it will stop at full bore and again at closed).

They used a 2ml fill glass tank and a sleek 6mm in height, Delrin wide bore drip tip that is 510-compatible, putting your lips a bit closer to the deck than most are normally used to. (I could see how some may not be a fan; I typically didn’t mind it).  The dual 6mm post Build Deck immediately separates itself from what you may be used to seeing, with two massive elevated air flow holes that your coils will sit nicely over. (Creates a bit more of a challenge when building)

A fairly wide build deck where you potentially could fit dual 10 wrap 3mm coils nicely, with room to spare.  A Peek Insulator and Direct contact 24K 510 pin running through the build deck is designed to pop in and out of the bottom airflow housing, (the piece that screws into your mod and houses the airflow adjustment) O rings providing a seal to the 510 pin to prevent any leaking into your device.  The pin is secured into the airflow housing with the 3mm wick hole section of the chamber.  This screws over the top of your deck and secures it to the bottom airflow housing, and is a piece in its own.

Your 2ml fill capacity tank and top chamber of the chimney, screw over this, and then finally your Delrin drip tip onto the tank.  Definitely not a beginner tank, the working parts to this require some finesse when building as well, but I will touch on that in a moment.

Overall it is a sturdy tank, it feels well-built and well designed.  All the O rings are good quality and threading is done nicely (Delrin drip tip almost too fine of threads making it hard to screw on at times).  Sitting at 32mm in height, 22mm in diameter, and 7oz in weight this tank looks good and feels good on top of my IPV5.  So far, I am happy.  Let’s touch on building and how it works!

Sigelei Moonshot RTA Review by Spinfuel eMagazine’s Nick Currie

Building On The Moonshot RTA

Let’s start with the negatives; new builders may not like this deck.  There is a high chance of leaking if not wicked properly due to the massive wicking holes. Not much room to hold the deck, and if you’re not used to adjusting your coils to clear certain spots on your build then this could prove to be ‘out of your comfort zone‘ when building.

You need to screw the pieces back together to see if your coils are firing the same, then proceed to take it apart again to wick it, only to repeat this process when you’re finally ready for your tank and E-Juice.  There is not much room to clear the elevated airflow holes, if not used to massive elevated air hole intakes.  You can’t just plug a pre-built coil in and go, with these decks you will have to put a slight bend on both wires coming out of the coil to help it clear the air flow holes and fit in the terminal holes, while not crushing or deforming your coils structure.

Wanting to give it a shot for myself before watching any tutorial videos proved to be a bit messy, I had a few pre built coils (26g Kanthal 7 wrap 2mm), that I wanted to try first, due to having them already built, but they didn’t give me enough wick for the wicking holes, and seemed a bit small sitting over the air holes.  Having another two pre built coils (22g Kanthal 5 wrap 3mm) handy, I figured this was definitely the better option providing more wicking material and filling the space above the air holes for better flavor / vapor production.

Cutting the cotton is pretty self-explanatory, you will want to cut it just shy of touching the deck.  You will see why leaving it long will be an issue when you go to slide the wick hole section of the chimney back over the deck (there will be cotton poking out below the actual deck.)  However, I soon learned, after watching the tutorial video, that Suprimo and Sigeleiactually recommend doing this, and then trimming the excess cotton that pokes out below the deck.  After doing this step you then poke it back inside with something sharp, before screwing the deck into the airflow housing, and putting the tank on.  Either method should work fine.

A lot of the problem I was having building with this deck, at first, was revolving around not being able to hold onto anything that gave me good control, and the ability to apply pressure to the deck when moving the coils around etc.

Once finding out about the Allen key trick, the tides soon turned in my favor.  I took some time to make sure my coil wire was clearing all of the deck as to not create a short, screwed the wick hole section of the chamber on, and made sure the coils were firing equally.  Overall, building on this deck, though challenging at first, is just a learning curve issue.  Once you have a few builds under your belt with this setup, it becomes very easy.  It’s just the fact that it is different than what you may be used to, that may prove to be frustrating, at first.

How Does It Work?

Now for the part you’ve all been waiting for, how the tank performs.  Once built and wicked properly this thing chucks clouds!  Filling the tank is very simple, the drip tip though sleek and hard to get your fingers on actually unscrews quite easy, the holes to squirt your juice through are quite massive as well.

Though you may get a tiny bit of spitback every now and again due to the wide-bore competition drip tip (nothing to complain about), that can be easily corrected with adjusting the wattage and airflow to find your happy spot.  The tank did tend to get a bit warm, but again it was nothing to complain about.  My dual coil (26g Kanthal 5 wrap 2mm) setup is rating currently at .18 Ohms (right around where I like it) and I am firing at around 55 watts using my IPV5.

As for cloud production, I am getting the type of thick clouds that would stop you from seeing your phone two feet in front of your face.  The type of clouds you wouldn’t want to blow while driving in fear of losing sight of the road, the type of clouds that I love!

The airflow has a smooth feel to it when adjusting; not stiff, yet not too loose either. The flavor is comparable to a dripper, though it is not 100% the same experience one may get off of an RDA, it is the closest I have come yet.  Chain vaping is highly plausible using this tank, it was quite difficult to force a dry hit.

I personally would not recommend firing this at 200w like advertised though, you’re asking for a flaming piece of e juice to ruin your tongue.  I am sure with the right build it is possible, it’s just not practical.  (You would literally be dripping at that point with a 2ml fill.)  One single pull at 150w caused a near instant burnt cotton taste, flaming e juice to hit my tongue, and had the tank very hot, as I imagined it would have done.

I found around 50-65 watts to be the perfect vapor / flavor ratio.  Though I’m sure you could find your sweet spot a little higher than this (depending on build specifics), that was not the case for myself.

Conclusion

The Sigelei Moonshot RDA has actually impressed me, all in all. Flavor was nearly ideal, I could chuck some serious clouds, and it was easy to use, once the build was complete.  Having a small 2ml tank and a slight learning curve for beginner builders, I’d give the Sigelei – Suprimo Moonshot an “A”.

If they had incorporated a bit more fill capacity in the Moonshot, and an actual tool for holding the deck, (other than the Allen key) when building, I would have given the tank an A+.  It’s no wonder Sigelei and Suprimo are so proud of their Moonshot RTA.  It held up great to my test, and is easily one of the best RTAs I have ever used, if not the best.

1Intro
Vaporesso Drizzle Kit

Vaporesso has been releasing some impressive devices recently, like the Tarot Nano and their signature OMNI board. It seems Vaporesso’s mission is to bring affordable, well-designed and great performing vape gear to the masses. The Drizzle kit is aimed at the starter end of the market but is another winner from the impressive in-form company.

The Vaporesso Drizzle kit is an AIO tube mod with a built-in 1000 mAh battery and a 1.8 mL capacity tank. It utilizes the EUC coil-swap design that the company is pushing right now and accommodates ceramic (CCELL) or traditional (kanthal) EUC mini coils, which are made specifically for this tank. The Drizzle Kit is aimed 100% at the MTL style vaping lovers.

3A little Drizzle goes a long way
Vaporesso Drizzle Kit

This a nice looking kit compact all-in-one device. It actually resembles a small mech mod, and only weighs 64 grams in total with a full tank. It is 91 mm in height and 18 mm in diameter, which is perfectly compact for an AIO device. It also comes in either silver or black variants, which both look simple and sleek.

The Drizzle is a simple one-button device and features a top-fill tank which is TPD compliant and holds 1.8 ml of e-liquid. As mentioned above it uses Vaporesso’s EUC coils, which are incredibly easy to swap out without any mess. Simply turn the tank upside down, unscrew the base of the tank, pull out the coil and drop in a new one. As always simplicity is key with vape starter kits and Vaporesso has kept to this path.

The performance of the coils is what really makes this a great device for beginner vapers. You get a very nice flavorful mouth-to-lung vape, with the perfect amount of airflow. I even found the coils wicked well when using a higher VG juice; they kept up with no burnt or dry hits, which is also impressive.

Likes

  • No leaking
  • Wicks well with high VG juice
  • Nice warm vapor
  • Top fill to tank
  • Easy to replace coils
  • Accurate and clean flavor
  • Decent vapor for an MTL device
  • Quick wicking on the coil heads
  • Easy-to-adjust airflow controller
  • Great throat hit (if you use high nic)
  • No spitting or hot-popping

Dislikes

  • The button is sometimes hard to locate
4Verdict

There’s not much more to say about this device it achieves exactly what Vaporesso intended. It is a small, compact portable vape pen that not only has everything you need in one kit but creates a brilliant MTL draw that most beginner vapers are seeking.

I ran it in parallel with my Nautilus Mini tank, and I have to say the Vaporesso just edged it. I would possibly go as far to say this is one of the best mouth-to-lung experiences I have had thus far in vaping.

It is an incredibly affordable kit, that is easy to use and performs really well. There is a plethora of vaping pens and AIO kits on the market right now, but none in my mind can beat the Drizzle for the MTL performance.

Vaporesso Target 75W Target VTC Review

A Different Looking MOD With Ceramic Coil Unit But What Is The Vaporesso Target VTC Really Like?

The Target 75VTC is designed and manufactured by Vaporesso. It is intended as a starter kit including a 75W device that features power and temperature control functionality and comes with its own Sub Ohm tank.Vaporesso 75 Target VTC Review

The tank is very innovative since it features the new cCELL coils which are made of ceramic and do not use cotton. The Target 75VTC has some very futuristic styling that makes it highly unique but is it a device that will suit you? We shall see.

Specifications:

  • Wattage range: 5-75W.
  • Temperature Control functionality.
  • Mod Dimension: 92x 48x 27 mm
  • Battery cell type: 1x 18650 battery (not included).
  • Thread: Brass 510.
  • Tank Diameter: 22mm.
  • Tank capacity: 3.5ml.

Box contents

  • 1 x Target 75W Box Mod.
  • 1 x Target tank with a Kanthal cCELL coil pre-fitted.
  • 1 x Ni200 cCELL coil.
  • 1 x USB cable.
  • User Manual.

Styling and Build Quality

The design of the Target 75VTC is very unique. In many ways the white version sent for review reminds me of the kind of device a Storm Trooper might use. It has a strong Science Fiction styling and even has almost Mass Effect video game elements to it.

The device feels durable and has a decent weight but it is well balanced and not overly heavy.

The form factor is excellent and the device is very much like the hand grip of a pistol with the fire button acting as a trigger. It feels really good in the hand and is very comfortable.vaporesso target 75w kit

The 510 pin is spring loaded but it is a very stiff spring.  Of course in many ways this is a good thing since it will likely last considerable time. The battery compartment is at the rear of the hand grip and is well secured with magnets. The battery compartment cover is not wobbly or loose at all and it has a very good fit.

Venting is excellent since the device has slots at the top of the battery compartment on both sides in addition to thirteen holes in the base. The battery compartment cover also has a nice rubberized finish to it that makes it feel comfortable in the hand and it makes for a good grip. The device takes a single 18650 battery which is not included.

The front of the device has three buttons and a clear display. The display is nice and bright and shows all the typical information you would expect: coil resistance, wattage and voltage. In addition battery charge is displayed and also temperature when using that mode.target 75w OLED screen

The front of the device also features a Micro-USB port located at the bottom so you can happily stand this mod upright and charge it.

The tank has a capacity of 3.5ml which ideally I would prefer to be 4ml or more since Sub Ohm tanks do tend to drain the e juice quickly.

The tank has fully adjustable airflow with two large horizontal air slots. The drip tip is made of Delrin so will keep the heat away from your lips at high wattage. Most of my drip tips fitted the tank without any problems but there were a couple that didn’t fit very well.Target TC Mod battery

The only slight issue I have with the tank is that the glass tube tends to rotate. It isn’t loose but it does move sometimes when screwing the tank down. The O-rings do hold the glass so you won’t get any leaking but I’d rather that glass didn’t move at all.

Innovative coils

The cCEll coils are very unique since they don’t actually use cotton wicking material directly on the coil. Instead the wire is embedded in ceramic which results in a warmer and more flavorsome vape.

Update: Since this review I have since found there is a wrap of cotton around the outside of the ceramic which is not visible unless the coil is taken apart. This acts as a protector for the ceramic and prevents too much e juice getting through.

Having said that I did dry burn the coil and the performance was still good after that. So I’d say the coil is simply more forgiving than a cotton wrapped coil.

Having said that this is not something I would advise doing to prolong the coil life.

C Cell Vaporesso Ceramic Coil

It is entirely possible that this new form of coil could be a game changer and I will certainly be interested to see what other manufacturers come up with in the future.

Operating procedure

The manual is good at explaining the functions so I’ll only cover the basics here.

  • 5 clicks of the fire button switches the device on and off.
  • 3 clicks flips the display.
  • Hold the plus and minus buttons down to switch to Temperature Control mode.
  • When in Temperature Control mode hold the fire button and the minus button down to lock the coil resistance.
  • Hold the fire button and the plus button down to lock/unlock the device.

How Does The Vaporesso Target Vape?

The device comes with a standard Kanthal coil and a Ni200 coil. I first tried the pre-fitted Kanthal coil which has a resistance of 0.9ohm. I filled the tank with Von Vapes Elite Drip Noble and started vaping at 25W. At this wattage it wasn’t a bad vape at all and the flavor was certainly very good.Vaporesso target tank ccell

I found 35W to be the sweet spot and at this wattage it was a warm, highly flavorsome vape with excellent cloud production. In fact it was such a good vape I got through the tank rather quickly before refilling for another vape. Von Vape e juice is high in VG and I am happy to report that the tank had absolutely no issues with it.

In my opinion it offered a far better vape with high VG than many other tanks I have used. The cCELL Kanthal coil is fantastic and I really couldn’t stop filling this tank and having yet another heavy vape session.

I was extremely impressed and I felt that this is one of the best pre-made Kanthal coils I have used and it is miles better than typical ones that have organic cotton wicks in direct contact with the coils. In the end I think I refilled the tank about seven times and the coil is still working great.Vaporesso target tank parts

From what I have read the cCELL coils fit Atlantis tanks but since I don’t own that tank anymore I have not been able to confirm this.

I then moved on to trying the Ni200 coil and I set the device to my typical preferred temperature of 240°C at 40W. For some reason it was not a very warm vape in fact I hate to say it but it was rather lackluster. I am unsure of the reason for this poor performance but I suspect I simply had received a bad coil.

To make sure that the device was not at fault I used my Freemax Starre Pro on it and the Ni200 coil in that tank worked fine resulting in a very flavorsome, warm vape just like it is when used on my other devices. It’s a shame because I am sure the ceramic Ni200 coil would have been an exceptional vape but unfortunately that was not to be.

Airflow on the tank is excellent and with two large slots you will get plenty of clouds when running high VG e juices. For those that prefer a more restrictive vape you can close the airflow slots down heavily but keep in mind this tank is really designed for lung hits. Refilling the tank is easy but it is bottom filling.

Battery life is pretty typical for a single 18650 vape mod. If you heavily vape this device and trust me you will be tempted then a single battery won’t last you all day. More modest use and lower wattage will of course give you longer battery life.

Is It Worth it?

In my opinion this is a worthwhile device since you are getting a Sub Ohm tank as part of the overall package. Given that the device offers 75 Watts of power and includes temperature control functionality it’s certainly a decent purchase.

As a starter kit the Target 75VTC is really impressive and the device is very straightforward to understand. As long as you like very open airflow and have no issues with lung hits then this is going to suit you very well.

Final Vaporesso Target VTC Review Verdict

I think that if you like the very Sci-Fi looks that this device has then you will probably be tempted by it. The ceramic coils are certainly innovative and do offer a very flavorsome vape.

The fact that the coils can take a dry burn (even with the cotton that is wrapped around the outside of the ceramic) it is difficult to scorch them and get that burnt taste coming through that you can get with standard cotton coils.

On the whole I think this is an interesting device and it seems to perform like most typical single 18650 mods. The form factor is excellent and it makes the device very comfortable to hold.

The only real negative I have with the Target 75VTC is the fact that the included Ni200 coil resulted in rather poor performance but given that the device works well with other temperature control tanks I own I suspect I simply received a bad coil.

It has a dual cyclopean airflow on the tank, which can be adjusted. It has a resemblance to a cigarette. Its length is 10.8 cm and has a diameter of 22mm. it’s easy to function and looks good in the hand. You can get an easy grip on it and can be taken anyway. It can last up to a day if you take refills along.

Pros & Cons

Pros Cons
The size is convenient It whistles
It’s simple to use The tank capacity is less
Excellent vapor production and flavor The MTL performance isn’t that good
Does not leak
Has a USB connection

Summary

Small in size and easy to handle Veco one will provide you with a satisfying experience. Vaping couldn’t have been easier than this. Through this vaping can be done in 3 steps:

  1. Charge
  2. Add juice
  3. Vape away

That’s literally it. With 5 clicks the vape comes on. The first vape gives a thick flavorful vapor making your experience astonishing. Since it gives out thick vapor the tank empties quickly. The battery is good enough to last 2 refills. Usually, the small kits are not that convenient in terms of its operations. The Veco One specializes in direct lung hits. Consistency is another plus point. Throughout the life of the battery, the vapors won’t differ that much. You will get the same amount and the same flavor. That’s a big yes.

Aurora by Vaporesso – a step back or worries for beginners?

I have always considered Vaporesso as a device manufacturer for more or less experienced users. They began their activities with boxing mods at 75-80W, which were especially popular at the time. Yes, there were guys and very unpretentious devices, but they were more likely considered to be a light option for experienced users than suggestions for teapots. Yesterday I learned about a new product that sets a new direction in Vaporesso activities . The device turned out simple, and at the same time quite interesting to pay attention to it. Meet – Aurora .

Aurora by Vaporesso - a step back or worries for beginners?

Usually, it is difficult for us to perceive the interests and preferences of other people. For example, I never understood those who buy very primitive devices, when in the market, for the same money, you can already find a more advanced device that can please you with a long battery life and better transfer of taste. At our site you could see a review on Ezipe , which I published just to familiarize the readers of our site with the latest industry news. But as it turned out, many people liked this device, and some, as far as I know, even bought it for themselves. So now, I will respect such products.

Why am I writing all this? The fact is that AuroraIt is the simplest device that, hardly, can cause at least some interest among fans of full-fledged setups. And I did not just remember about the device from Fumytech , because the novelty from Vaporesso is made in the same form factor. Okay, let’s get to the point, and see what the manufacturer has prepared for us.

Aurora by Vaporesso - a step back or worries for beginners?

Designers of electronic cigarettes, apparently, what – that special love for the legendary lighters Zippo . It is easy to guess that she was inspired by the Chinese when creating the Aurora . The device is a single unit placed in a compact case. All the user needs to do is flip the lid off and begin to soar. By the way, I want to draw your attention to the form of a dip – type. UsersEzipe could experience some discomfort, because of a short drip – type, here it will not happen, you just unfold a drip – type, and soar for your pleasure. In this regard, Vaporessogreat.

Dimensions :

Height – 70.4 mm.
Width – 42.5 mm.
Thickness – 14.6 mm.
Weight – 116 g.

For the operation of the entire device meets the built-in battery for 650 mah. According to the manufacturer, this box produces 12W, there is no information about the minimum resistance. Charging device using the connector micro usb. To control the level of charge indicator is provided at the bottom of the case.

With atomizer part is still easier. The device works with evaporators of the CCELL line. The manufacturer states that once you have tried these vaporizers, you will not be able to switch to something else. Pretty risky statement, don’t you think? For Aurora, a 1.3 ohm option is offered, and that should be enough. The volume of the reservoir for the liquid – 1.2 ml. For more comfortable use, a special window is provided in the case

On some Internet sites, you can already leave a pre-order for a new product.  As for the device itself, then, as for the first experience at Vaporesso, everything turned out just fine. I will not say that I will wait for such devices, but learn about Aurorait was interesting to me. Let’s see whether the new product will justify the hopes of the manufacturer.

The Smoant Knight V1 Review – Side By Side Mod

Smoant Knight V1 – The Side by Side Mod

Before I start the review I need to come clean and just put something out there!

I have a real soft spot for this style of mod. The side by side or cage mod as they are often referred to. As soon as the Knight V1 was released it went straight to the top of my shopping list.

Of course, my fondness of these mods will, in no way, affect this Smoant Knight V1 review.Smoant-Knight-V1-reviewed

So, now that’s cleared up, let’s get on with it!

What’s In The Box

Build Quality & Design

The Smoant Knight V1 is a side-by-side/cage device, similar in appearance to the Black Oak by Continental mods, but at a fraction of the price. A single 18650 60W device, with temperature control for Nickel (Ni), Titanium (Ti) and Stainless Steel (SS) wire.

The Knight V1 is powered  by a single 18650, with temperature control for Nickel (Ni), Titanium (Ti) and Stainless Steel (SS) wire.Smoant Knight V1 temp Control Mod

The mod will fire from 1 to 60 watts in regular power (VW) mode, 0.5 to 7.0 volts in variable voltage (VV) mode, and 10 to 60 Joules in Temperature Control (TC) mode. In TC mode the device has a temperature range of 100 to 300 degrees Celsius (°C), 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).

In TC mode the device has a temperature range of 100 to 300 degrees Celsius (°C), 200 to 600 degrees Fahrenheit (°F).

It’s heavy for its stealthy & compact size, coming in at a whopping 205g, and that’s without an 18650 battery onboard.

Talking of Batteries

The battery compartment on the Knight V1 is accessed through the silicone stopper (no it’s not the FIRE button) and metal battery cap located at the top of the mod.Smoant Knight V1 18650 battery

Venting has been provided in the battery cap. Personally, I think this is in the wrong position and would be best placed on the bottom of the mod away from the users face.

Next to the battery housing is the cage section of the mod, where your RTA will sit, with a spring loaded 510 connection at its base. As the style of the device suggests, any RTA or clearomizer attached to the mod will be, in a cage, so to speak.Smoant Knight V1 Side By Side

Anything over 23mm in diameter, however, will not fit. Shouldn’t be a problem for most sub ohm tanks available.

I tried a number of tanks all of which fit and worked well.

So Smoant have incorporated a very nice little feature on the 510 connection, which allows you to rotate it to suit the position of the airflow on your RTA or clearomizer.

Hence the reason for the Hex screw in the 510 and the Hex key in the presentation box.

Fire Button

The Fire button and the (+) & (-) buttons are positioned below the 510 on the front of the mod which feels quite comfortable when holding and firing the device.

The FIRE button can be easily operated with the middle finger while the (+) & (-) buttons can be adjusted using the ring finger.Smoany Knight V1 Cage mod

The contoured shape of the mod makes it very comfortable to hold but it may take some a little while to acclimatize to the slightly different button locations.

All of the buttons are metal, possibly stainless steel, and there was no rattle from them.

The micro USB connection is located on one side of the device, allowing it to remain upright while being charged and also provides a ‘Pass-Through’ facility but no firmware upgrading.

On the opposite side is a small and very bright OLED screen which, in appearance, is very reminiscent of the old DNA30/40 displays. And just below the screen is the Smoant branding.Smoant Knight v1 Cage Mod

The mod is available in only two colors, black or white. Silver/brushed metal might have been a nice color to include but maybe that will come in future versions.

The mod is constructed from zinc with a baked on finish, making it very durable.

I’ve dropped this device twice now and there’s not a mark or scratch in sight!

Functions

Menu operation is relatively straight forward and the basics are covered in the user manual, which I have to say is very poorly printed.

On one particular page of the manual, the diagram of the device is totally missing making the visible labels meaningless! Not sure how this passed the final quality control inspections.

Operation

  • To turn the mod On and OFF it’s 5 clicks of the FIRE button.
  • With the device turned ‘ON’, press the FIRE button 3 times to enter the menu system.
  • Navigation is achieved by using the (+) and (-) buttons.
  • In the main menu you have the option to select (VW), (VV), (TC Ni), (TC Ti) and (TC SS). (VW) and (VV) work pretty much as any other device, but with Temperature Control, if selected, you will need to set the coil resistance and adjust the Joules. These are not difficult to do, but as they are not covered in the manual it’s down to trial & error!
  • In TC Mode, setting the atomizers coil resistance is done by pressing and holding down the (+) and (-) buttons simultaneously for about a second or so until the screen displays ‘Set Resistance’ and boom you’re set!
  • Next, adjusting the Joules. Pressing and holding down the (+) and Fire button together until the screen changes from displaying the temperature to showing the Joules.
  • Once you’re in this display you can adjust the power from 10 to 60 Joules. And the menu does ‘Round Robin’.

Other menu features:-

  • Pressing (+) and (-) simultaneously will lock the power setting
  • Pressing (+) and FIRE buttons changes the screen orientation from left or right
  • Pressing (+), (-) and FIRE at the same time will display the software Version and device Serial Number

Unfortunately, there isn’t a custom TCR mode or stealth mode on the Knight V1. Maybe these will be included on the V2 if Smoant decide to develop the device further. And as it is named the ‘V1’ this is highly likely.

What I Liked

Overall, I really like the Smoant Knight V1. Its performance in VW and TC mode were flawless. All RTA’s attached to the mod looked good, sat flush with the 510 and performed as expected. Aesthetically this device is very pleasing.

All RTA’s attached to the mod looked good, sat flush with the 510 and performed as expected. Aesthetically this device is very pleasing.

What I Didn’t Like

My main gripe with the Knight V1 is the position of the battery venting holes which are located in the battery cap at the top of the mod.

As the battery is installed positive (+) down, I think it would have made more sense to locate venting in the base of the devices. Correct me if I’m wrong but don’t 18650 batteries vent primarily from the positive (+) terminal.

My other gripe is not with the mod but with the instruction manual which is poorly printed and doesn’t cover all of the devices’ features such as coil calibration, display rotation, and Joules adjustment.

You’re pretty much on your own working out how to change these.
