Looking through the specs of the old and new Speeder it does look like only the appearance and tank included have changed. It is still a 200W maximum output using dual 18650 batteries which are not included.

PRO 150W by VGOD – stylish, powerful, youth

The VGOD company has something to say on our site. The team of young guys, having started with performances at vape events, has already made great progress in their development. At the moment, having cooperated with a certain Chinese company, VGOD began to produce their own range of products for wapping. Presenting for the beginning a collection of liquids for electronic cigarettes , the guys almost immediately showed their tank – TrickTank . Besides this, most recently, I showed you TrickTank Pro RDTA .

But now, VGOD have decided to go even further, and break into the boxing mod market, with its PRO 150W. I did not entertain myself with hopes that the Americans themselves began to develop a payment, design and other details. Most likely, the Chinese did this, and they remained in the shadows. But, let’s all the same look at what was the result of so many people’s work

PRO 150W by VGOD

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Devices.

One can say one thing: the designers have made an attempt to make the most powerful and aggressive boxing mode possible. This is their desire is understandable, if we take into account the direction of boxing – fashion. In general, the device I liked, and I tend to think that the whole fault is the use of carbon fiber. The only thing that bothers me is the excessive “squareness”. You could tense up a little, and think of something more interesting.
Dimensions :

Height – 77 mm.
The width is 56 mm.
Thickness – 24 mm.

PRO 150W by VGOD

Specifications:

In their characteristic pathos manner, Americans call their device, not otherwise than “The Ultimate Vaping Machine”. Honestly, I have big doubts that boxing – mod deserves this title. At the moment, VGOD clearly can not compete with market leaders. And what happens next will find out later.

PRO 150W by VGOD

The range of the board is from 5 to 150W. The device works in several modes -SS, TI, NI, Wattage, Mech. The minimum resistance threshold in the mode of mechanical mode is 0.07 omh. The manufacturer did not indicate the exact values of the operation in the thermal control mode, but it seems to me that we will not see anything new

PRO 150W by VGOD

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Devices.

As you’d expect from a device with a “Pro” prefix in the name, two 18650 batteries serve as the power source. The manufacturer deserves praise for not being tempted by the beautiful 200W figure and indicated the real possibilities of the board. Personally, I would be glad to see here some kind of “Lipochka”, but the pro-vaipers would shower the manufacturer with slippers for such a solution

By the way, the micro-usb connector performs only one function – the charge of the batteries. Before the firmware update, VGOD has not reached yet.

PRO 150W by VGOD

So what do you think? In my opinion, for the debut device – it’s very good. At the moment, the opinions of the vapers vary. Suffices as those who praise VGOD for their novelty, and those who advise them never again to take up boxing – fashion.

Aspire Cleito EXO Review

Aspire Cleito EXO Vape Tank Review

The original Aspire Cleito re-imagined the design of the sub ohm tank with excellent results. While most tanks have a separate atomizer head and chimney section, the Cleito combined them to offer a much more direct path from the coil to the mouthpiece. The result was astounding vapor production and impressive flavor, but Aspire hasn’t stopped there. As well as putting out the Cleito 120 – which shares a lot of design features with the original but supports higher-wattage vaping – they’ve now released the Cleito EXO. The differences here are much bigger in terms of design, with an impressive airflow system in particular, but does the tank perform well enough to compete? We’ve tested it out for our Aspire Cleito EXO review to find out.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

What You Get

Aspire Cleito EXO Review - Unboxing

The Aspire Cleito EXO comes in a thin rectangular plastic case much like the original Cleito did. The tank is nestled in a cut-out section of foam towards the top and all of your extras towards the bottom, under a small flap with some basic information about the tank written on it. As well as the tank and the 0.16 ohm coil that comes pre-installed, you get an alternative 0.4 ohm coil, a spare mouthpiece and a couple of spare O-rings. The package is fairly basic, but it gives you everything you need so there isn’t much to complain about.

Aspire Cleito EXO Review: The Design

Cleito EXO Sub Ohm Tank Design

Appearance

The Cleito EXO is a bit of a departure from the previous versions in design. This is due to the exoskeleton-like metallic cover surrounding the tank. The metal surrounds much of the tank, aside from a couple of U-shaped windows on opposite sides of the tank which you can use to see your remaining juice level. The “Aspire” logo is written on both of these windows, but other than this and a couple of horizontal airflow slots at the top of the metallic sections, the tank has a uniform and pretty cool look.

Visually, the metallic body makes it a great fit for many mods, and you can pick it up in black, blue, bronze and a rainbow-like design in addition to the stainless steel if you have a preference. Overall, it does a great job aesthetically.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

Structure

Cleito EXO Review - Structure

The Cleito EXO has a pretty simple structure that’s similar enough to most sub ohm tanks that you’ll feel right at home. It’s a top-filling tank, so the top cap screws off to reveal the atomizer head and space around the sides to fill up. The atomizer head runs up the whole length of the tank, screwing into the bottom section and the top cap. The base of the tank is a little unusual, because the coil screws into a metallic ring that’s slightly raised up from the base, with airflow holes in the very bottom section. When you unscrew the top cap, you can simply pull the tank off the base without any need to unscrew anything.

The Airflow System

The “EXO” part of the EXO is really all about the airflow system. Most sub ohm tanks simply have adjustable airflow slots at the bottom, which you can cover up, uncover or part-cover to set the airflow up to your liking. However, these can sometimes suffer issues with juice leaking through the slots.

Aspire Cleito EXO Review - Airflow Slots

The EXO’s solution to this is ingenious, and is similar to that attempted on other devices in the past. The slots at the top of the metallic exoskeleton are there to suck in air, but they do so from the upper part of the tank. The air rushes down between the metallic covering and the glass tank, reaching the base of the tank and being pulled up through the atomizer head thanks to the airflow holes in the interior of the base. So the air flows down from the top and then up through the center, so it’s basically impossible to have any e-juice leak from the airflow holes.

This works really well overall, but the only downside is that you can’t adjust the airflow setting.

The Mouthpiece and Top Cap

The Cleito EXO has a wide-bore mouthpiece and a simple top cap with knurled edges to make it easier to unscrew. The mouthpiece works more like a sleeve, which surrounds a shorter, squat metallic tube extending from the top of the mouthpiece. The wide bore tips included with the tank are a great match for the open airflow of the EXO, but are another element of the design that isn’t ideal for mouth-to-lung vapers or people who prefer a restricted airflow.

Backwards Compatibility

The Cleito EXO can be used with coils for the original Cleito, but not the 120 version. This is a great extra feature for users of the old Cleito who may still have a coil or two around, and it also works with the RBA head for the Cleito too.

Overall

Aspire has done a pretty great job with the design of the Cleito. There are a few minor sticking points – the loss of adjustable airflow being the biggest – but overall the look is great and the tank is well set up to meet the needs of vapers.

Aspire Cleito EXO Review: Performance

Cleito EXO Performance

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

The 0.16 Ohm Coil

The 0.16 ohm coil included in the kit is notably fatter than the 0.4 ohm option, and it actually reduces the size of the tank from 3.5 ml to a TPD-friendly 2 ml. This means the Cleito can be sold in the EU in pretty much the same form, but since the coil is rated for 60 to 100 W, it’s a bit of an unfortunate combination with the smaller tank.

That said, the performance from the 0.16 ohm coil is great. It doesn’t do very well below the recommended settings because the ramp-up time is too high, but from 60 W upwards you do get good clouds and well-captured flavor. As you increase your setting to 70 W, the flavor comes through a lot better and the vapor production continues to improve. Things keep getting better for a while, but approaching 90 W leads to quite hot vapor that I struggle to vape for too long, and the improvements in vapor production and flavor start to die off. At 100 W the same issues really make it difficult to enjoy.

Overall, there is a nice range from 60 to around 80 W where the performance from this coil is great in terms of both flavor and vapor. Beyond that range in either direction you run into some issues.

The 0.4 Ohm Coil

The 0.4 ohm coil included in the Cleito EXO kit is rated for between 40 and 60 W, making it the best option for lower-wattage vaping with the EXO. The coil performs pretty well, overall. At 40 W, the vapor production is satisfying and the flavor is good. At 50 W things get even better, the flavor really pops and the vapor production is quite impressive. The temperature of the vapor notably increases at this point, though, although it’s still an enjoyable vape. As you approach 60 watts, the flavor starts to drop off a little although the vapor production continues to improve.

This is a great coil for lower-wattage vaping, and a lot of the time I even run it at 35 W out of the house with pretty good results. The flavor isn’t quite up to the level of the lower-ohm coil, but it’s still good.

Airflow and the Cleito EXO

A more general point about the Cleito EXO relates to its airflow system. With no airflow control option available, you’re left with an open draw you can’t really do anything about. For most vapers, this won’t be a massive issue, but if you’re particular about your airflow settings it’s not ideal, especially if you like a restricted draw.

The design of the airflow system, while great for preventing leaking, means it also doesn’t do too well for people who like a wide open draw either. The gaps for air to pass down the body of the tank are quite slim, and this does have a notable impact when you’re trying to vape with the 0.16 ohm coil at higher wattages. There’s only so much you can draw in.

The biggest downside is for the temperature of the vapor at higher settings, though. It makes the highest settings on the lower-ohm coil basically unusable (at least for me). A secondary airflow system around the mouthpiece would have been a good idea to cool the vapor down and keep it enjoyable to use at more extreme settings.

That said, for most vapers the airflow system gets the job done well enough, and the benefits in terms of avoiding leaking arguably make the downsides worthwhile.

Overall

The performance from the Cleito EXO is really good unless you’re looking for huge clouds and very high wattage vaping. If you’re happy operating between about 40 and 80 W, the vapor production is solid and the flavor is good, but beyond that you’ll start to run into issues.

Aspire Cleito EXO Review: In Use

Filling Up and Changing Coils

Aspire Cleito EXO Review - Refilling and Changing Coils

Filling up the tank and changing the coil on the Cleito EXO are the two most common tasks you’ll have to complete, but thankfully both are really easy to do. The top-filling design means that all you need to do to refill the tank is unscrew the top cap and fill up in the space between the atomizer head and the wall of the tank. This is really easy to do with the 0.4 ohm atomizer head, but it can feel a little cramped with the fatter 0.16 ohm head. In any case, though, you won’t have a problem with it, even as a beginner.

Replacing the coil isn’t much more difficult. Once you’ve removed the top cap, with the tank empty or close to it, you can pull the body of the tank off without unscrewing anything. This leaves the coil sitting in the base but makes it much easier to unscrew the one you have installed and get the new one in its place.

The only issue I ran into during refilling and changing coils is the atomizer head unscrewing while I was trying to unscrew the top cap. However, this is more to do with over-tightening the top cap than anything else – go easy on the top cap when you replace it and you won’t have problems.

Does the Cleito EXO Leak?

The unique airflow design might have some downsides, but the huge positive is that it means the Cleito EXO doesn’t leak at all. Throughout testing, I haven’t had any leaking; not even a drop. This might seem like something you’d expect from any tank, but in practice it’s very rare to encounter a tank that actually pulls it off.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For Best Vape Tanks.

Build Quality

Cleito EXO - Manufacturing Quality

The Cleito EXO is really well put together. The metallic outer section gives it a sturdy feel, the knurling on the top cap is beautifully machined and all of the threading fits snugly and everything works just as it should. Once you’ve unscrewed the top cap, the tank section just pulls off, but the fit is still tight and reliable. Overall, there isn’t much to complain about here at all.

Conclusion

The Cleito EXO isn’t the perfect sub ohm tank. The airflow system is ingenious in some ways, but it’s inherently restricted design causes some issues at higher wattages. However, if you’re happy vaping at 80 W or lower – or if you don’t mind hotter vapor – it has a hell of a lot to offer. A completely leak-free design, great flavor, impressive vapor production and a really user-friendly layout makes it an absolute pleasure to use. It isn’t perfect, but it’s dependable and it does a great job of continuing the proud tradition of the Cleito devices. For $19.99, it’s a fantastic deal for an impressive tank.

IJOY Captain PD270 review

Design and build quality

Measuring in at 89mm x 48mm x 32mm, the IJOY Captain PD270 is by no means a small device, but it isn’t obscenely large either. It just about fits in the palm of my hand perfectly, and it surprisingly feels quite lightweight as well, even with two 20700 batteries inserted. I feel like it is designed for large, power hungry sub ohm tanks, with the width of the device being 32mm even 24mm cloud chasing RDA’s look tiny on top!

The top of the IJOY Captain PD270 features a spring loaded 510 connector, so that there is no gap between the device and your atomiser of choice, and it can accommodate 30mm width atomisers without any overhang present. At the side of the mod is one of the largest power buttons I have ever encounted, and it is extremely responsive too, so do take care to lock or turn off the IJOY Captain PD270 when you are carrying it around to avoid any misfires! At the base of the IJOY Captain PD270 is a hinged battery door cover, which pops open in order to insert your batteries in a series configuration. Once shut, it holds firm too.

One of the real highlights of the IJOY Captain PD270 is the large screen found on the front of the device. This is very clear and easy to read in all types of light conditions, showing you the current power output setting, battery level (with an individual battery bar for each battery), resistance, amperage draw, power mode, voltage, puff counter and even a puff timer. There’s a whole wealth of information displayed here! Underneath the screen you’ll also find the plus and minus buttons, and a USB port that can be used for charging your batteries and upgrading the IWEPAL chip used with the IJOY Captain PD270.

Focus On www.ave40.com For More Vape Devices.

You can purchase an IJOY Captain PD270 with your choice of up to 54 different colour combinations, so there is bound to be a finish that suits your preferences! My IJOY Captain PD270 came with a straightforward carbon fibre panel design, which I really like the look of. The finish stands up very well to day to day use, with hardly any scratches picked up so far, and I feel that it is a strikingly good looking device. The IJOY Captain Sub Ohm Tank pairs off really well with the IJOY Captain PD270, making for a great looking combo!

Using the IJOY Captain PD270

The IJOY Captain PD270 is fitted with the IJOY IWEPAL chip, which promises to offer top notch performance and it can even be updated with future firmware upgrades from the IJOY website. It is a pretty easy device to use, and here’s how it all works:

  • Open the battery door to insert your 20700 batteries, if you wish to use 18650 batteries then you will need to fit the adaptor first.
  • 5 clicks of the power button will turn the device on, the Captain PD270 logo, software version number and IJOY logo will be displayed on the OLED screen
  • 5 clicks of the power button will also turn the device off, and ‘POWER OFF’ will be displayed on screen
  • Hold the power button down in order to vape, a 10 second cut off is built in to prevent overfiring
  • Whilst the device is on, press the fire button three times in quick succession to enter the menu
  • Pressing the plus and minus buttons whilst in the menu will allow you to select the different functions, press the fire button to confirm your selection
  • ‘P’ is for Power (Variable Wattage mode). You can also customise the power delivery presets, Normal Mode wil maintain the current power, Hard Mode will increase the power by 30% for three seconds, Soft Mode will decrease the power by 20% for three seconds and User Mode allows you to customise the power output for the first three seconds of each puff with each setting column representing half a second
  • ‘T’ is for Temperature Control mode, by selecting this you will be able to choose between Ni (Ni200), Ti (Titanium), SS (Stainless Steel) or M1/M2 TCR presets
  • ‘TCR’ is for entering a custom temperature coefficient, you can save two of these in the M1 and M2 slots
  • ‘SET’ allows you to set a standby time
  • ‘RESET PUFF’ will reset the puff counter
  • Holding down the plus and minus buttons together will allow you to lock in the resistance, this needs to be done at room temperature with a temperature control coil in order to calibrate an accurate baseline resistance

Performance

One aspect of 20700 batteries that I have been really intrigued by is the reported longer lifespan of these batteries thanks to the increased mAh capacity. With a dual 18650 battery, I have become accustomed to getting around a full day’s usage at 40-50W before needing to swap my batteries out for fresh ones. With the 20700 batteries in the IJOY Captain PD270, I have been getting just over two days use out of a single charge when I have been vaping in the 40-50W region, which is a big increase! I haven’t really felt the need to use the 18650 adaptor in the device for day to day use, as even when I am vaping at close to 100W I can still get pretty much a full day out of two 20700 batteries, which I find remarkable.

The IJOY Captain PD270 is capable of putting out some serious power, with it able to fire resistances down to 0.05ohm and output up to 234W, with resistance read accurately. Power delivery is very consistent, and there is virtually no delay when pressing the fire button to your device actually firing. It’s handy to be able to customise your vape further as well with the different power boost settings at your disposal, and you can really fine tune it with the custom user input setting too!

Temperature control coils are well catered for here too, with support for Ni200, Titanium and Stainless Steel coils. A custom TCR input is also to be found on the IJOY Captain PD270 so for example if you like to use NiFe wire in temperature control, you can enter the coefficient for it through the TCR setting and save it in one of two available slots. Temperature control mode has been very accurate whilst I have tested it, and offers a very consistent vape.

Conclusion

The IJOY Captain PD270 is a mod that really does have it all, great looks and form factor, plenty of power available, a great temperature control mode and battery life that will last you ages. It’s got rock solid build quality, and has been able to stand up easily to whatever I can throw at it on a daily basis, and it just keeps on performing pretty much perfectly regardless.

I’ve really fallen for the outstanding battery life offered by the IJOY Captain PD270, which has been my favourite aspect of this device. It’s perfect for me to take out and about and not have to worry about carrying around spare batteries, or whether my mod is going to last me the day. It hasn’t yet failed on me once, and has become a consistent and reliable mod that I can depend on!

Wismec Reuleaux RX Mini Kit Review

The smashing success of the Reuleaux RX200 has been both a blessing and a curse for Wismec. On the one hand, it established the Chinese manufacturer as one of the top brands in the vaping industry, but it also set customer expectations for their future releases, and meeting them is anything but simple in such a competitive market. In this review, we’ll be looking at the Reuleaux RX Mini kit, Wismec’s attempt at tackling the mini mod/tank sector, and determine whether it can make the same kind of impact that its older brother did last year.

A Look at the Contents

The Reuleaux RX Mini kit comes in the same packaging as most vaping products today – a black cardboard box. On the front of the box we have a sliver drawing of the device inside, and on the back, we have a list of contents, company information and a bunch of safety pictograms.

Reuleaux-RX-Mini

Inside the box, we have the assembled Reuleaux RX Mini 80W mod and the Reux Mini tank sitting in a foam holder. Underneath this holder are two user manuals – one for the mod and another for the tank – a USB charging/update cable, a spare coil head (the other comes preinstalled in the tank), a 3M fake leather sticker to customize your mod, and a bag of spare o-rings for the tank.

So, basically, you have everything you need to start vaping, minus the e-liquid. However, one thing I would have loved to see in the box is a spare glass tube for the tank. If you’ve ever cracked a tank by accident, you know how handy those things can be.

Wismec-Reuleaux-RX-Mini-kit

Design and Build Quality

With the growing demand for full-featured, pocket-friendly vaping devices, Wismec decided it would be a good idea to scale down the size of its popular Reuleaux RX200s to access this lucrative niche market. At least that’s how I assume the Reuleaux RX Mini came to be, since the design similarities between the two mods are pretty obvious.

There’s just one problem with that idea, though. Despite its reduced size, the RX Mini still retains the diamond shape of an RX device, so the girth is still considerable. That makes it very comfortable in the hand, but sliding it into a small pocket can be a little difficult. And even if you manage to do it, you’ll be left with a noticeable bulge. That’s not a huge deal, but I’m guessing it may bother some people.

RX-Mini-mod

I’ve had trouble finding out what material the Reuleuax RX Mini is made of, as Wismec doesn’t list that information on their site, but I’m guessing it’s either zinc alloy or stainless steel. Either way, the mod feels really solid in the hand, and has some weight to it, which really gives it a quality feel.

For this review, I received the grey version of the Reuleaux RX Mini, but you can also get in stainless steel and black.

On top of the mod we have a spring-loaded 510 connection that seems to leave a gap between the device and the atomizer regardless if you’re using the included Reux Mini tank or another atty. I’m not 100% certain, but I believe the reason for this is to make sure that screwing on the atomizer all the way down doesn’t scratch the matte finish of the mod. The gap is barely noticeable though, so I’m not even going to count it as a con.

Reuleaux-RX-Mini-connection

If the 510 connection would be located more to the center, it could fit a 24-mm atomizer without the slightest bit of overhang, but as it’s actually located near one of the sides, anything over 22-mm in diameter, will definitely overhang.

On the sides, we only have a couple of battery venting holes and a replaceable fake leather sticker that not only looks goof but also improves your grip on the mod, preventing it from slipping from your hand. The pre-applied sticker is black, but you can replace it with a brown one included in the starter kit.

One of the coolest features of the Wismec Reuleaux RX Mini is the large, super-bright OLED display. It’s without a doubt one of the best-looking mod screens I’ve seen a while. It’s bright enough to be perfectly visible in any lighting conditions, and all the various info is displayed in a large enough font to be clearly visible from arm’s length.

The display takes up a lot of space, though, so much in fact that there really isn’t enough space left for the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons on the side of the RX Mini, so Wismec decided to put them on the bottom. It’s a bit unusual, but we’ve seen this done on mini mods before, like the Eleaf iStick PICO 75, for example. However, in this particular case, the implementation is less than perfect.

Wismec-Reuleaux-RX-Mini-bottom

I have no problem with the positioning of the adjustment buttons, but their shape and size is definitely a problem. With so much space to work with thanks to the overall girth of the mod, Wismec and Jay Bo could have went for some beefy buttons, but instead they decided to go with two very small, very thin buttons that are so close together that it makes pressing them correctly very frustrating.

To be perfectly honest, I personally didn’t find it too difficult to operate the ‘up’ and ‘down’ buttons, but then again, I have really thin, girly fingers. Someone with big hands, however, is going to be struggling a lot with them, especially if they just clipped their nails. These buttons are basically a thin line split in two, so trying to press one without pressing the other can be very frustrating. Not to mention trying to press them both at the same time. Good luck trying to fit both your thumbs on them!

Reuleaux-RX-Mini-venting

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

I liked that they fit two more venting holes on the bottom of the RX Mini. Along with the two on the sides, that’s four venting holes, which for a device this size is quite impressive. Wismec takes battery safety seriously, and that’s definitely a big positive in my book.

Battery Life

Despite its impressive girth, the Wismec Reuleaux RX Mini is a very small device, even for a mini mod, so I really wasn’t expecting too much from it in terms of battery life. Now, the 2100 mAh capacity of its non-removable battery may not seem that great when you compare it to that of dual-18650 battery devices, but taking into consideration its size, it’s actually pretty good.

Reuleaux-RX-Mini-mod

This is supposed to be a pocket-friendly vaporizer, small enough to carry in the pocket and easy to use on the go without attracting too much attention. Battery life is definitely not at the top of its strong-point list, but it’s still decent enough to keep you vaping at up to 80W for a few hours.

Accurately estimating the battery life of the RX Mini is pretty tough, since you have to take into consideration the wattage you’re vaping at, the resistance of the atomizer and the vaping habits of the user, but I can share my own experience, to help you get an idea of what you can expect from it.

RX-Mini-Jay-Bo

I have been using the Reuleaux RX Mini with the Reux Mini tank included in the kit for about a week now. The pre-installed coil-head – one of the best I’ve ever used – is rated at 0.2Ω and I have been vaping it at 65W, in power mode. I got an average of six hours out of the battery, which is more than I expected, considering that I was using it exclusively, and that I consider myself a heavy vaper.

Menu and Navigation

The Wismec Reuleaux RX Mini has a seemingly simple menu and navigation system. There is no actual menu to go into, everything happens on the screen, using various button combination, either when the device is turned off or on. It’s basically the same menu type as Joyetech uses on its advanced devices.

Reuleaux-RX-Mini-display

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

For example, to turn the power the RX Mini on/off, you have to press the fire button five times in rapid succession. To change the settings, you have to start by pressing the fire button three times, while the device is turned on. You will see the “mode” icon in the top left corner of the display start to flash, letting you know that you can either change the mode from variable wattage to temp. control (for stainless steel, Ni200 or titanium), bypass mode (mech mode) or memory mode, or browse through the other options.

The thing about this type of menu, as I’ve mentioned when reviewing various Joyetech mods, is that it can be somewhat frustrating to use for less experienced users. For example, when you want to change the vaping mode, if you accidentally press the “up” button instead of “down” you will jump to another setting, instead of browsing through the available modes. You then have to press “up” several times until you see the “mode” icon flashing again, at which point you can press “down” to switch to another mode. You can also just press the fire button to start over, but that’s just what I mean by “frustrating”

Wismec-Reuleaux-RX-Mini-display

There are several other examples like the one above, but it seems that Wismec is somewhat aware of the slightly confusing navigation system of its mod, so it has added a small reset button on the bottom of the RX Mini, which brings the device back to factory settings if you somehow screw the settings up and can’t figure out how to fix them. This button is actually a small hole that can be pressed with something very thin, like a needle.

As I mentioned, there are also some button combinations that have to be done when the RX Mini is turned off. By keeping both the “up” and “down” buttons pressed, you can flip the screen, pressing “up” and the fire button lets you check the voltage of the battery, and pressing “down” and the fire button lets you adjust the TCR for three memory modes.

Reuleaux-RX-Mini-kit

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

The RX Mini user manual does a good job of explaining the navigation and all the available button combinations, but I would still like to see a simpler menu navigation system implemented by both Wismec and Joyetech.

The Tank

The Reux Mini tank that comes with the Reuleaux RX Mini is definitely one of the best mini tanks I have used in a while. It’s very simple to use, holds over 2.5 ml of e-liquid (although the official specs say 2 ml) and the flavor production and flavor are simply amazing.

Wismec-Reux-tank-filling

The design of the Reux Mini is fairly straightforward. It comes with a wide-bore Delrin drip tip that can be replaced with any other 510 drip tip, the top cap screws off for refilling, and the metal base is actually an adjustable airflow ring that allows users to restrict the airflow to the coil.

To replace the coil, all you have to do is unscrew the base of the tank, take out the old coil and screw on a new one. To fill the tank, just unscrew the top cap and pour juice in the space between the chimney and the glass tube. That’s pretty much all you need to know to use it properly. There are no bells and whistles like juice-flow control or top adjustable airflow, just a bare-bones tank that actually works great.

Reux-tank

Wismec has also done a great job with the Triple coil heads for the Reux Mini. They’re not as impressive looking as those multiple-coil atomizer heads that SMOK makes for its TFV8 tank, but they actually perform very well. The one that comes pre-installed in the tank is rated at 0.2Ω, and not only produces big clouds of vapor, but the flavor you get from it is amazing as well.

I’ve been using the same coil for a week, and the flavor I get from it is still very good, while the coil itself only has minimal gunk build-up, despite having used it with Loaded Glazed Donuts juice, which is rather sweet.

Wismec-coil-head

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

I’ve had no leaking with it whatsoever, which is pretty rare for bottom-airflow tanks. Overall, I have to say that the Reux Mini is a very pleasant surprise.

Conclusion

The Wismec Reuleaux RX Mini kit is a very solid choice for intermediate vapers as well as advanced users looking for something small but full-featured to use on the go. The girth of the RX Mini may not make it the most pocketable mini mod on the market, but the impressive 80W power output, the number of available features and the excellent Wismec board definitely make up for its design flaws.

Wismek-Reux-tank

The Reux Mini tank is an excellent companion to the RX Mini. It may seem simplistic, but this little guy is proof that appearances can be deceiving. It’s actually a great atomizer that will impress you both in terms of vapor production and flavor intensity.

Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit Review

Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit Review

Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit Review

Wismec and Sinuous is back with another new vape starter kit, the Ravage230 Kit which includes a brand new device and the updated Gnome Evo sub ohm tank. Following the recent trend, the Ravage230 features a large 1.45 inch color display screen and offers a ton of different features we’ve seen from past Wismec vape mods. The updated Gnome Evo tank is slightly shorter this time around and features a newly updated WM01 coil head.

Before getting any further, we’d like to thank VapeSourcing for sending this vape kit our way for the purposes of this review. We’ll cover our first impressions, usage, performance, pros and cons, and conclude with whether or not we recommend the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 with Gnome Evo Kit!

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

First Impressions

The Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit comes in pretty much the same packaging we’ve seen before with past Wismec devices and vape starter kits. This isn’t a bad thing or anything, but I think this packaging could use somewhat of an update since it’s rather bland. However, this is the sample packaging that I received, so the retail version might look a bit different.

On the front of the packaging, you see a picture that shows the entire kit alongside the name up at the top. On the back, you’ll find some more information about what’s included. I did receive the full black color, but there are other color options available such as Black and Red, Black and Blue and Black and Silver. Included in the packaging, you do receive the Sinuous Ravage230 box mod, the Gnome Evo vape tank, two 0.4 ohm WM01 coil heads, 2 user manuals, 2 warning cards, a replacement glass tank section, an additional drip tip and a bag of spare parts.

Once you slide open the box, you’re immediately greeted with the Ravage230 and my first thoughts were that it’s smaller that I thought it’d be. When looking at pictures of it, it looks a bit on the larger size, but this device is more in the middle, not too large or too small. I also first noticed it’s incredibly large display screen, coming in at 1.45 inches. Underneath the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 is where you’ll find everything else including the Gnome Evo tank.

Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit Review

When first inspecting the Gnome Evo, you can’t really spot much differences when comparing it to the original Gnome tank aside from the shortened height. I honestly don’t think there’s much different aside from that and the updated coil heads. It certainly is a good looking tank in my opinion and matches the Ravage230 quite well. Instead of an Ultem drip tip, the Gnome Evo comes pre-installed with a smoked wide bore drip tip and replacement glass tank section.

The Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 does feel really good in the hands, and it does feature a firing bar, similar to Smok box mods. There is also a function button right above the firing bar, which I’ll cover what it’s used for later. This device also has a centered 510 connection, which is a huge pro in my book. The wattage adjustment buttons and micro USB port used for charging and firmware updates are located right under the display screen.

Overall, my first impressions of the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit was great! I had no cons whatsoever to be mentioned in my first impressions.

Focus On www.urvapin.com For More Vape Start Kit.

Usage

The Ravage230 box mod does require 2 high drain 18650 batteries for operation, and features a sliding battery door that’s pretty similar to various box mods we’ve reviewed in the past. However, this one is a bit more solid and has very little play in comparison to some others. Once you insert your batteries, it does stay in place firmly and takes a decent amount of pressure to get it open, so it won’t open accidentally in your pocket or bag.

As mentioned previously, the Ravage230 does feel comfortable in the hands. It has no sharp edges whatsoever, which is always a good thing. All of the buttons, including the firing bar are nice and clicky. In addition, there’s no rattling or anything going on with this device, so I can surely say it’s constructed quite well. The display screen is nice and bright, so it’s easy to see and certainly eye appealing, which is pro for me.

Since this device does have a new board or chipset inside, it is a bit different to navigate when comparing it to past Wismec devices. Firstly, just like most other regulated vape mods, 5 clicks will turn this device on and off. Three clicks of the firing bar will enter the menu where you can choose from Mode, Settings, Info and Exit. When highlighting which you want to enter, simply click the fire button and you will enter what you highlighted.

When selecting “Mode”, that’s where you can select your different TC options (Ni200, Ti, SS), the TCR mode, and the RTC mode. In the “settings” option, you can lock the resistance of your attached atomizer, adjust the clock and date, turn preheat on and off, set the power, adjust the timeout settings and more. In the “info” section, you can check on your batteries and the current firmware.

Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit Review

Utilizing the function button when in the menu will take you back one step or turn the screen on or off. Lastly, if you hold the function button, you can scroll through the different modes without having to enter the menu, which is a nice touch for sure. It’s fairly easy to navigate the menu system, so it shouldn’t take a vaper much time to get used to it in my opinion.

The watatge up and down buttons are on the small side, and sometimes I’ll find myself not pressing them when wanting to adjust the wattage since they’re small and rather flush to the device. I do wish the buttons were either slightly larger or elevated so they’re a bit easier to find without looking.

I do want to mention that since the Ravage230 does feature a centered 510 connection, atomizers up to 28mm will sit flush with no overhang. This is definitely a pro in my opinion, and I do hope we see more new mods feature this. Also, something else worth mentioning is that I’ve had no issues with the 510 connection.

Using the Gnome Evo tank is simple as well, and it’s a fairly standard sub ohm tank. It features a sliding top fill design, but the drip tip itself acts as a locking feature; therefore in order to fill this tank you need to lift the drip tip or take it out. For me, this is a con and I would’ve much preferred that you didn’t have to mess with the drip tip in order to fill it. Its just an annoyance really, not a major con.

The airflow is fully adjustable and you can easily adjust it while it’s on the device. The glass tank section is smoked, but you can see how much e-liquid you how left. When you do fill this tank, you will fill it past the glass tank section, so you do have to keep an eye on it while filling as you don’t want to overfill it and have e-liquid spill all over your tank and mod. This may be seen as con to some, but I never really had any issue with filling.

All in all, using the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit has been a pleasure. There were minor gripes with the included sub ohm tank and wattage buttons, but none that were deal breakers.

Performance

The Ravage230 by Wismec and Sinuous does have a maximum wattage output of 230w. I don’t have the necessary equipment to actually test if it does hit this wattage, but I can surely say it can deliver around the 180w or 200w wattage range. I do recommend if you are vaping at this high of a wattage that you do use good high drain 18650 batteries such as the Sony VTC5A. Honestly, if you do require this high of a wattage, you might as well look for a triple or quad 18650 battery or even a dual 20700 box mod.

I personally vape between 50w and 100w most of the time, so I wasn’t too concerned if it could actually hit 230w. Just like other Wismec devices, the temperature control does work well. I’ve only tested this device in stainless steel temperature control mode as I no longer vape Ni200 or Ti wire, but going by how it performed, I’d say it would work just fine. It is slightly on the conservative side, especially when comparing it to something more accurate like a DNA box mod, but it does prevent dry hits.

The battery life on the Ravage230 is actually a bit better than some other dual 18650 box mods we’ve reviewed in the past. I could easily get through all day without needing a charge while vaping the Gnome Evo tank at 60w. Of course, if you’re vaping at higher wattages you’d probably need to replace the 18650 batteries mid-way through the day. This device does feature 2A charging, but I do recommend to always charge your batteries externally.

As mentioned earlier, this vape kit does include the updated WM01 coil, which has a resistance of 0.4 ohm. I actually enjoyed the previous coils offered for the original Gnome tank, so I was pretty excited to see how these new coils vaped. This coil is rated between 40w and 70w, but is best vaped between 50w and 60w, and I can surely say that this is accurate.

I do want to mention first that these coils do have a break in period of about one tank full before getting full on flavor. This is about average in my opinion and expected. When you’re down to about half way is when you’ll really start to notice the flavor kicking in and it’ll break in fully after your first tank full.

Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit Review

I preferred to vape the updated WM01 coil between 55w and 60w. This is where I would get a nice warm and flavorful vape experience. I was actually surprised to how well these coils performed, and was impressed by the flavor it was putting out. Now, it’s not dripper or RTA level, but it’s really good considering it’s from a sub ohm tank. The vapor production from these coils are also great. Overall, I must say these updated coils are top notch.

I would vape this tank with the airflow fully open, and sometimes I’d close it off just a bit when wanting a bit more of a restriction to the draw. Fully open, there is a slight restriction, which is something I do prefer. Don’t expect massive amounts of airflow with this tank though, and honestly, I didn’t expect that since it’s more of a mid-range sub ohm tank. The drip tip is comfortable and I felt no need to replace it.

One coil would last me about a week before I started to notice the flavor diminishing. This was with e-liquid that is known for quite a bit of sweetener, so I wasn’t expecting it to last very long. I’d say a week is not that bad considering the e-liquid I was vaping on. I do want to mention that I experienced no leaking whatsoever with the Gnome Evo sub ohm tank, which is always a pro in my book!

Filling this tank is easy, but liked mentioned before, it was a bit annoying to constantly lift or take off the drip tip in order to fill. I found it easier just to completely take off the drip tip when ready to fill this tank. Thankfully, the Gnome Evo didn’t guzzle juice too fast, so I wasn’t filling too often.

Overall, the performance of the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 was excellent! I was quite surprised by the performance of the updated coil heads, and the mod performed just as expected, if not better.

Pros

  • Solid build quality
  • Excellent performing coil heads
  • Large 1.45 inch display screen
  • Firmware upgradeable
  • Centered 510 connection
  • Ergonomic design
  • Experienced no leaking

Cons

  • Have to lift or take off drip tip to fill Gnome Evo Tank
  • Small Wattage Adjustment Buttons

Conclusion

In conclusion, the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 Kit is an excellent vape starter kit that offer great performance and tons of features. Honestly, I enjoyed this starter kit much more than I originally expected. It pretty much offers the vaper everything they need such as various TC modes, a bright and large display screen, comfort of use and more. Not to mention, these updated coils for the Wismec Gnome Sub Ohm Tank were quite impressive and provided an excellent vape.

There were cons that were mentioned, but none that were deal breakers in my opinion. The first con was the fact that you have to take off or lift the drip tip in order to fill the tank. I simply don’t like this fill method as I just rather not have to touch my drip tip in order to fill. The small wattage up and down buttons is also more of an annoyance as well and it doesn’t effect this kit’s overall performance.

So, if you’re in the market for a new dual 18650 starter kit that offers various features and top notch performance, I can easily recommend the Wismec Sinuous Ravage230 with Gnome Evo Kit. At around only $50, I think it’s a great deal.

We hope you find this review helpful in finding the right vape starter kit to fit all of your vaping needs! Feel free to leave any questions or comments down below! Thanks for reading!

SMOK Infinix Review | A Refillable Phix Clone?

Smok-infinix

A SMOK MTL vape sounds like an oxymoron, but this is actually now a thing. The kings of clouds have recently released three refillable MTL pod mods, and each one is like a pre-existing non-SMOK product. The SMOK Fit is somewhat like a refillable JUUL, the SMOK ROLO Badge is basically an upside down Suorin Drop, and the SMOK Infinx is the doppelganger of the Phix.

The Infinix has a 250 mAh battery and an automatic MTL draw, and it comes in a kit containing two 2 mL refillable pods along with a needle-tip 15 mL refill bottle. Looking at the Infinix, it’s easy to think you’re seeing MLV’s pod vape (especially the gun metal color), but there are differences that make them distinct from each other — though fans of the Phix may have a hard time getting past the obvious.

SMOK Infinix review

SMOK-Infinix

I’m sure the big question for many will be: is this a refillable Phix clone? As much as I hoped it would be, it’s not — though SMOK obviously wants it to appear that way. That’s not to say the Infinix isn’t good, just that the two don’t vape the same.

There are three main differences between the two devices: the draw is a tad loser with the Infinix, the Infinix does not use ceramic coils, and the Infinix is refillable. The draw and the ceramic coils (along with the proprietary nic salt juice) are what makes the Phix vape the way it does.

Design and build quality

Infinix

The Infinix is well made with no apparent manufacturing defects. It’s got a zinc alloy housing with a matte finish over a diamond-shaped body (see specs for measurements). In general, the device feels good in the hand. It’s lightweight — weighing only about 22 grams — and it has a nice satin touch. I do wish it had some kind of texture for secure gripping though. But no matter how you slice it, even with minor differences in the details of the body (like its slightly rounded edges), the overall design of the Infinix is the Phix. If you don’t like that design, you probably won’t like this one.

Refillable Infinix pods

SMOK-Infinix

The pods of the Infinix are the same shape as the device, and they taper at the mouthpiece which should prevent accidentally drawing on the wrong end which could cause the device to autofire — a problem for pod devices with twin ends and bottom charge ports. One minor gripe I have is that the pods don’t click into place. At least they’re held in snugly.

Monitoring your juice level is easy with these pods; they have an eye-shaped window that’s on the front and back. And refilling is easy too. You can use the included needle-tip bottle or a unicorn bottle, but using a regular dropper may be messy. The refill plug is on the side of the pod under mouthpiece, and the fill plug is anchored to the pod so there’s little fear of losing them (unlike on the Rofvape Warlock Peas).

Note: the Infinix pods are NOT compatible with the Phix.

The Infinix can provide a nice and warm MTL vape. The flavor is slightly above average for pod vapes and the throat hit is on the mild side. The draw is an easy MTL vape that hits without drawing hard. The draw is probably most similar to the MyBlu (formerly known as the MyVonErl). But with the Infinix, it hits quickly and it stops almost immediately.

I’ve used 50/50 juice up to 70/30 with pretty much equal performance. No hot pops, gurgling, after-sizzle (like in the Kado Stealth), and the pods have been free from dry hits after several (over seven) refills each.

The Infinix pods use regular cotton wicks that are cut outside of the chimney. So far, this thing has wicked like a champ. The wicking seems quite efficient — I’ve taken the pods down to practically a dry wick before I could taste it. But I’ve gotten occasional juice in the mouth and a little leaking. Although it’s just been a little bit, the leaking has led to some recent issues with the battery.

Infinix battery

The battery life of the Infinix is about what you’d expect from a 250 mAh battery — not great. But it can charge quickly via a regular USB port (located on the bottom of the battery), only taking 25 minutes to be fully charged from a depleted state. And since the battery has pass-thru charging, you won’t be stuck waiting to vape as it charges. Just make sure to keep the bottom of your pods dry.

Similar to issues with the Phix, a pod that has juice on the bottom can cause issues with the charging and performance. Recently, I’ve gone to take a hit off the Infinix and nothing happened. It started hitting again after drying off the contacts but continued acting wonky for a while. I recommend taking the pod out every once and awhile and wiping off any liquid on the bottom.
